Living alone, or not getting out as much as you used to, can feel lonely. Our companionship visits bring a familiar, friendly face into your home for a chat, a cup of tea and some company.
Conversation matters to us. One person told CQC inspectors, "The conversations are the best. I find them really stimulating. We have a good chat and laugh."
Our carers can drive you to the shops, to appointments or on a trip out, so getting about is never a worry.
Our monthly newsletter includes puzzles and news, and people help plan what goes in it. It can be produced in large print or braille.
We begin with a free assessment in your home. We find out what you enjoy, what you miss doing and who matters to you. Then we plan visits around your interests.
Each visit is at least one hour, so there is real time to talk and do something you enjoy. You will see a regular carer or small team, and you will always know who is coming from your fortnightly rota.
Companionship can be a visit on its own, or part of wider help such as personal care, dementia care or shopping and errands.
Our carers visit people across the villages around Sleaford, Billingborough, Heckington, Donington and Gosberton. Check our Areas We Cover page to find your village.
